Quickstart

New here? This is the only page you need. Ten minutes, copy-paste, running site.

1. Scaffold

npx create-startplate my-product
cd my-product
npm install

2. Configure

Section titled “2. Configure”

Copy .env.example to .env and fill the minimum for local dev:

SITE_URL="http://localhost:4321"

Local SQLite file — no Turso account needed to start. Switch to a hosted URL when you deploy.

3. Run

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:4321. You get: landing page, pricing page, contact page, auth flows, and checkout wiring — all working against your local DB.

4. Verify

Section titled “4. Verify”

# fresh DBs first (file DBs persist between runs)
rm -f /tmp/startplate-*.db
npm test

22 tests: auth lifecycle, payments (checkout + webhook + upgrades), admin guard, receipt email, schema migration.
